Cars: rushing! honking! zooming! by:Patricia Hubbell
A rhyming book showing different types of cars and what they do. Easy to skip parts for younger, more wiggly audience.
The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round by:Annie Kubler
It's fun to sing along with the nursery rhyme song in this big book.
The Wheels on the Bus by:Paul O. Zelinsky
Another fun option for singing along to the traditional rhyme.
The Hello Song
Hello everybody, how do you do? (waving)
How do you do?
How do you do?
Hello everybody, how to you do? (Waving)
How are you today?

Hello everybody, clap your hands...
How are you today?

Hello everybody, stomp your feet ...
How are you today?

Hello everybody, touch your toes...
How are you today?

Hello everybody, touch your nose...
How are you today?
Shake Your Sillies Out
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear
Open Them, Shut Them
Pop Those Bubbles
One Little, Two Little, Three Little Bubbles
Paint with cars.
Cover a surface on the floor with a tarp. Roll small cars through washable paint and then roll them on large pieces of paper to create designs.
1) Bus role play
2) Cars, trucks and play mat to roll them on
3) Toys that roll
4) Sort things that roll and things that do not roll
I put tables flat on the floor for toddler crafts.
We blow bubbles at the beginning as an ice breaker and to give people time to arrive. We play with a parachute between circle time and toy / station time.
