I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie by:Allson Jackson
A hungry relative comes to Thanksgiving dinner with a pie which she eats entirety before she even gets in the house. She then has to swallow some cider to moisten the pie, the Thanksgiving pie, which was really too dry, /Perhaps she'll die." The story continues in this vein and ends in delightful way.
These three wonderful stories are perfect for audience participation. The repetitive text and themes of cooperation and sharing make for a great Thanksgiving storytime.
