Here is My Book
Here is my book,
(hold hands together as if a book, then open)
I open it wide,
To see all the pictures,

Make your own mini books. I used the pattern from http://library.thinkquest.org/J001156/makingbooks/minibook/index.ht and prefolded the books in assorted colors, then provided feathers, felt, paper scraps, stickers, and crayons for the children to decorate them.
I had a "center" with different kinds of books to explore -- fuzzy books, rubbery books, shiny books, fabric books, plastic books, odd shaped books, etc.
