A Penguin Pup for Pinkerton by:Kellogg, Steven
Pinkerton mistakes a white football for a penguin egg and begins to act as an emperor penguin father does to a penguin egg. This causes a great deal of confusion and chaos for all concerned until Granny pretends the egg has hatched and substitutes a toy penguin for the football/egg. This makes Pinkerton and everyone else happy. As usual, the illustrations by Kellogg are bright and full of energy.
Little Penguin's Tale by:Wood, Audrey
Little Penguin does not want to listen to Granny Nanny's story, so he goes in search of fun and dances with gooney birds, visits the Walrus Polar Club, and narrowly escapes being eaten by a whale.
If You Were a Penguin by:Minor, Wendell & Florence
Colorful illustrations accompany the text which asks and answers the question of what you could do if you were a penguin. A section at the end of the book lists several fun facts about penguins as well as listing and illustrating the different kinds of penguins in the world.
