2017 Project Pumpkin Begins!

Looking for some ideas on how to decorate your pumpkin this year?  Then check out this year's 2017 Project Pumpkin entrants at Freeman Library.  We will have 8 pumpkins decorated as children's book characters or a popular culture characters  (we have 6 out right now with 2 on the way).   The pumpkins have been decorated by staff using paint or other materials but no carving.   Children and adults are welcome to vote for as many pumpkins as they like through October 31st.   The 3 pumpkins with the most votes will be revealed on November 1st.   We will feature a different pumpkin each day in this blog.  One of our first entrants is Fluffy Unicorn.  It is inspired by a character in the movie "Despicable Me'.

Thank you to HEB for their generous donation of pumpkins and the Friends of Freeman Library for their funding of art supplies for the library.   Also, thank you to the staff who assisted with creating these festive pumpkins.
