AARP Tax Help - Different Location for 2010

For the first time in more years than I care to remember Kingwood Branch is not the location for the AARP Tax Help in the Kingwood area.  Due to our move to the new location during the tax preparation time period, AARP will be at the Kingwood First Baptist Church located at 3500 Woodland Hills this year.  The date and times will be the same - each Wednesday from now until April 14th, from 10 AM until 1:30 PM. 

Many of these volunteers have been coming to the Kingwood Branch Library with the AARP Tax Help group for more than a dozen years.  I feel like a part of the family didn't come for the annual visit!

We do still have some tax forms and publications available; they are in the foyer of the library right by the meeting room entrance.

You need to add stop signs in

You need to add stop signs in front of the intersection in front of the library. Someone is going to get hit by a car.

Thank you for your comment about the need for a stop sign at the entrance to the library. Like you, I share your concern. For so many years drivers along Bens View Lane and Bens Branch Drive did not have to slow down as there was no other way to go around that corner. Now with the library open, care must be taken when entering the library parking lot if coming from Bens View Lane. 
 
This is a City of Houston issue as they are in charge of the streets now. We've contacted them, both directly and through City Councilmember Sullivan's office and hope for a resolution soon.   It would not hurt to add your voice to the request for a stop or yield sign at that location. Thank you for addressing this issue.
