Asian-Pacific Heritage Month Photography Exhibit in Art Alcove - Bob Blome

In honor of Asian Pacific Heritage Month photographer, Bob Blome, will have an exhibit of his photographs from Asia at the Barbara Bush Library in May.

Bob is a self-taught photographer who aspires to the standards of "National Geographic" magazine. He learned techniques by observing the work of other artists, and experimenting with their approaches and his own vision of an image. One of his main influences is Impressionist art for their use of the horizon and their framing.

Bob's career in the oil business kept him and his family on the move. Living in different parts of the country helped reinforce his desire to travel. Once he retired, he was able to pursue both of his interests, which allowed  him to create exhibits and speak to groups about his travels and photography.

Come and see these exciting, colorful works of art.
