Astronaut Stephanie D. Wilson visits Freeman Library on Thursday, February 1 @ 6pm

The Children's Department of Freeman Library celebrates African American Heritage Month with a visit by Astronaut Stephanie D. Wilson on Thursday, February 1 at 6:00 pm.  Ms. Wilson will talk about her journey to becoming an astronaut.  She has an inspiring story - she has been on 3 space missions that have put her in space for 42 days.  After Ms. Wilson's talk, we'll have a rocket craft and a matching game as well as a book display and activity sheets.  This program is recommended for children 3-12 years old along with their caregiver.  Tickets are required.  They are free and available in the Children's Department starting at 5:30 pm.

Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for supporting this program with craft supplies.
