Authors for Adults and Teens
A little over a year ago I noticed something strange: a book by a first-time author for young adults had multiple requests on it before it had even hit our shelves. Ok, that isn’t really strange, I suppose. Definitely strange, though: almost every single person who had requested it was an adult. The book was Shelter by Harlan Coben and this month several people are waiting for a copy of the second book in his Mickey Bolitar series, Seconds Away. Harlan Coben has had a very successful career writing for adults and his readers have followed him over as he has begun publishing books for teens. There are several authors who may begin their careers writing for adults and transition to writing for teens or bounce between writing books for teens, children and adults. Below I’ve listed a few authors who have written for teens and adults and a few titles you might consider. Which authors or titles do you recommend?
