Basic Knitting Class for Adults

Always wanted to learn how to knit, but just haven't found the time or the perfect class?  Join us over the next 4 weeks for basic knitting class for adults on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. in the Marge Jacobson Community Room.  We'll be making a simple dishcloth, and some supplies will be provided by the Friends of Freeman Library, but we encourage you to bring your own so you can take them home to practice in between classes.  We recommend a set of US size 8 (10" length or child size) knitting needles (bamboo is less slippery than the aluminum needles, and I personally found them easier to learn on), and a ball of cotton yarn (Sugar'n Cream is the most commonly found brand).  There will be an experienced instructor here to teach this time, so if you've suffered through a class with me as your teacher, here's your chance to have a better teacher!  Registration is required because space is limited, so come by the library or call us at (281)488-1906 to register.  We start this Thursday, January 20th at 7 p.m. in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the first floor, and the other three classes will be January 27th, February 3rd & February 10th.  We look forward to seeing you there!
