Book Club Meets Friday, September 21 at 2 pm

Crosby Book Club will meet Friday, September 21 at 2 pm.  In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, we will discuss The Devil's Highway, by Luis Alberto Urrea.  This is the true story of what went wrong in May 2001, when 26 men attempted to cross into southern Arirzona via the historic El Camino del Diablo, a road through the remote and dangerous Sonoran Desert.  Though not a book about solutions, Urrea's investigative report covers all sides of the complicated issues surrounding immigration and our porous border with Mexico.

New members are welcome to join us in the meeting room!
