Books Alive! Week 2017 starts Monday, March 13

  :Looking for something fun and free to do during Spring Break?  Well, Freeman Library continues with the tradition of having a program on each day of the week during Spring Break (3/13/17 - 3/17/17).  These programs, along with many throughout the year, are sponsored through the generous donations of the Friends of Freeman Library.  Here are the upcoming programs in the Children's Department:

Monday, March 13 - Marsha's Petting Zoo  - over 20 adorable animals such as deer, ducks, a llama, and more at 2:30-4 pm on the Diana Lane side of the LIbrary.  No tickets needed - just a little patience waiting in line.

Tuesday, March 14 at 2:30 & 2:30 pm - Spring Crafts - Make a bee, a baby chick and a butterfly snack craft.  Tickets required.  They're given out 30 minutes before the program.

Wednesday, March 15 at 2:30-4 pm - Meet a surprise superhero wandering the library.  We'll also have face painting and balloon animals from Party Animals of Texas.  Children are welcome to dress as a superhero themselves..  No tickets needed, just more patience waiting in line.

Thursday, March 16 at 2:30 & 3:30  pm - Texas Animals and More brings their amazing snake friends over so that children can learn about the snakes and even touch them.  Recommended for children 3 years and older.

Friday, March 17 at 2:30-3:30  - Children of all ages are invited to write on the sidewalk as we provide plenty of colorful chalk and even some templates that can be used to draw and doodle on the sidewalk of the Diana Lane side of the library.
