Book group participants have many options these days for how they receive the content of the books they discuss. At the Barbara Bush Branch, in addition to the standard regular and large print books, book club members now download e-books into devices like the Nook, Kindle, or Sony e-reader. Some purchase their books from online sources. Others download from the library's Overdrive digital media catalog. Still others with little time to read listen to audiobooks as they commute.

A website called Reading Group Choices does a survey of book clubs each year. This year's survey reported that 5% of the respondents read all, or most, of their books in electronic format. Another 25% tried using an eBook reader in the past year. Whatever format you choose, don't miss out on the enjoyment of discussing what you have read with other readers. Join a book club today!
