Bouncy Bunny Books
While I anxiously await my yearly delivery of sugary treats, my thoughts hop over to bunnies. I do love a good bunny book. You may know the rabbits from Goodnight Moon, Peter Rabbit and the Velveteen Rabbit, but here are some of my other favorite (non-chocolate) bunnies:
Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems - If only we could all have a friend like Knuffle Bunny (important note: that’s pronounced K-Nuffle, not kNuffle as Trixie would most definitely point out.
Muncha! Muncha! Muncha! by Candace Fleming - There’s no dissuading a mob of hungry bunnies!
Creepy Carrots! by Aaron Reynolds - The carrots that grow in Crackenhopper Field are the fattest and crispiest around and Jasper Rabbit cannot resist pulling some to eat each time he passes by, until he begins hearing and seeing creepy carrots wherever he goes.
Buddy and the Bunnies: Don't Play With Your Food! by Bob Shea - A monster named Buddy is determined to eat some cute little bunnies, until they prove to be more enjoyable as playmates.
Little Bunny Foo Foo by Paul Brett Johnson - He should really leave those field mice alone.
Not A Box by Antoinette Portis - To an imaginative bunny, a box is not always just a box.
While We Were Out by Ho Baek Lee - When someone leaves the patio door unlocked it's just the opportunity the family's pet rabbit needs to go exploring.
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo - Think of this book as a chapter book version of the Velveteen Rabbit. Tissues required.
