"Brrr" It's Cold Outside...

Wow what a week this has been! For the first time in 22 years the Houston area had a temperature of 19 degrees. That cold weather brought with it icy road conditions and closures all over Texas. But, we keep moving forward, we want our patrons to know that all books due those days will not have late fees applied to them.

We have some amazing programs coming up here at Evelyn Meador Library. On January 24th at 1:30 pm we have a program titled “Healthy 2018” where you will learn how to search for accurate health information and how to find free online resources you can trust. Please register here. Every Friday, our “Happy Feet” walking club walks around the trials at 9:30 am. We meet the side door of the front entrance of the library. You will feel amazing after this walk, so join us!

Also on January 24th at 4:15 pm we have a "3D Printing Orientation: Polyprinter" where you will be introduced to 3D printing in the library. Those completing the class will be able to schedule time on the 3D printer to receive additional hands-on instruction. Please register here. Our Golden Pearls senior trip will be at the Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center. The Center's primary mission is to collect, preserve, and provide access to historically significant state and local government records and publications and secondarily to serve as a library of Texana and genealogical resources. Registration starts on 01/29/2018.Trip is free and will take place on the15th of February.
