The Brutal Telling

I'm reading The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny, set in Three Pines, a remote Canadian village.

The hero is Chief Inspector Gamache, and his co-workers. In this novel, the village is disturbed when a stranger is found dead in the local bistro. Right from the start, we know the bistro owner is hiding something, but we're not sure what. This is a well written mystery with lots of local color. Other books in this series include Still Life and A Rule Against Murder.
