Celebrate Día in the Children's Area!

Come to the Children’s Area on Friday, April 27 at 10:30 am and celebrate Día!  Día is a nationally recognized initiative that emphasizes the importance of literacy for children from all backgrounds.  The common goals of all Día programming are:

  • • Celebrate children and connect them to the world of learning through books, stories and libraries.
  • • Nurture literacy development in ways that honor and embrace a child’s home language and culture.
  • • Introduce children to cultures, heritage and language through stories.

We have selected 3 awesome picture books to share with your children along with songs and crafts.  Join us for a fun morning!   *Recommended for children ages 3 – 6 and their families.
