Celebrate Teen Read Week at the Kingwood Public Library

Celebrate Teen Read Week at the Kingwood Public Library.  We're hosting several programs this week for teens and tweens ages 12-18, or in grades 6-12.  Programs are listed in detail below.  Supplies and prizes are provided by FOLK, and are limited.  Questions?  Call Leanne, YA Librarian, 281-360-6804.

All Week Long - Great (Book) Pick Up Lines

Stop by the Teen Area any time this week and check out our Great (Book) Pick Up Lines display.  We have a quiz to go along with it.  See if you can match the pick up lines (the first few lines of the book) with it's title!  All participants get a prize; get at least half right and win a book; get three or less wrong and win a gift certificate to our FOLK bookstore!

YA Book Club - Thursday October 17th @ 6:30pm

This is our first meeting, and we will be discussing David Levithan's novel Every Day.  It's not too late to stop by the Teen Area and grab a copy if you haven't read the book!  This book club will meet again, November 21st (third Thursday of the month); in November we will be discussing any book you are reading for fun.  I'll be reading Elegy by Amanda Hocking or Forgive me Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick, or maybe something else.  I can't pick!

Library Lockin - Friday October 18th, 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Join us after hours for video games, pizza, crafts, and (of course!) Halloween candy!!  This program does REQUIRE permission slips.  Stop by the Teen Area to pick on up!  Space is limited.

For more information on these or any other Teen programs, please contact Leanne, YA Librarian, 281-360-6804.
