CHARITY, LIBRARIAN AND A RENAISSANCE WOMAN
I would describe our Children's Librarian, Charity James, as a real Renaissance Woman. She is a person of expertise that spans a significant number of different subjects. Charity has been at the Maud Smith Marks Library going on 9 years. She is known for her skills as a Children's Librarian and her love of children of all ages. I thought you might like to know that she got her Masters of Library and Information Science at UT-Austin. Her undergraduate study was music, which she still uses in her storytimes. She is a member of the Ft Bend Symphony. Her taste in music is very eclectic. You never know what she will be listening to next. She enjoys Swing dancing, and has been a member of a Renaissance Dancing Troup. Her seamtress skills have been used to make her attire for the troup and all the costumes her 2 daughters have needed through the years. Charity is particularly interested in retro designs of the 50's. In her earlier life, Charitiy was in 4-H and was an award winning barrel racer.

Did I mention that she is also a She is happpily married to Will.
