Children: Join us in celebrating African American Heritage Month today at 4:30 pm

The Children's Department will be observing African American History Month today at 4:30 pm with a crafts program for children ages 3-12 years old.   We will be making a colorful wreath in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King and a paper weaving craft.  We'll have a tasty snack of potato chips and a graham cracker "traffic signal" inspired by African American inventors.  Additionally, we'll have activity sheets and a variety of books available for checkout.  Tickets are required for this program.  They are free and available starting 30 minutes before the program.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for supporting this program.
