Choosing The Right Storytime

At the Atascocita Branch Library we have several storytimes a week. So, you might wonder which program is right for your child?
Ms Susan and I have created storytime programs that progress as your child grows.
Infant Lapsit Program for infants - 24 months
Wednesday @ 11:00 am
Thursday @ 11:00 am
Friday @ 1:00 pm
Our infant lapsit program is designed for parents and their babies up to 24 months.  Activities include music, rhymes, fingerplays, bubbles, puppets and socialization opportunities.
Toddler Storytime for 2 to 3 year olds
Wednesday @ 10:00 am
Wednesday @ 1:30 pm
Children move up to our toddler storytime at age two.  At this stage, we have lots of music & movement activities, and we also read a couple of books each week.
Preschool Storytime for 3 to 6 year olds
Thursdays @ 10:00 am
When children turn 3 years old, they move into our pre-school program.  This storytime has been created to help children get ready for school.  The books are longer in length, and have a more complex storyline. In addition, children learn additional fingerplays and rhymes.
Family Storytime for all ages
Mondays @7:00 pm
Family Storytime is for children of all ages. Books and activites vary according to whom attends.
