Cloudy With a Chance of Reading
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs has remained the number one movie in America for the second weekend in a row. This book-inspired movie is a great read for children of all ages. For those who have not seen the movie yet, I invite you to check out the book from the Jacinto City Library children's collection. The author, Judi Barrett, writes about the imaginative town of Chewandswallow "where it rains soup and juice, snows mashed potatoes, and blows storms of hamburgers." Although the movie and the book are actually quite different, the idea behind the two are essentially the same. Have you ever asked yourself what the world would be like if it rained food?
