Clueless on the Computer?
We can help! We have a variety of ways to help you with your computer needs – at whatever level you’re learning. Every Thursday at 11:00am we offer a Basic Computer Help hour. You come with whatever has stumped you lately, and one of our librarians will walk you through it. On the last Thursday of each month we focus this meeting on using our online library databases. These are subscriptions we pay for so that you can use them for free (most of them accessible from home with your library card). They include things like genealogy sites, full magazine articles, automotive repair help, and even historical maps of Texas.
Another option for computer help will start in September with our Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel classes. Each of these topics will be taught once a month on a Friday at 3:00pm.
For those speaking Spanish we have an 8-week class covering the basics of computers every Friday at 4:30pm. Taught almost completely in Spanish, you can come anytime during the 8 weeks and learn how to use the computer, internet, Microsoft software, and more.
For any of our programs, please let us know of topics you’d like taught at the library. We want to help you accomplish your goals.
