Coding for Kids and Teens

If you've ever visited a website or played a game using an app on a phone or tablet, you have used something that was created using code. When someone codes, they create instructions for a computer to follow, and this makes it possible for us to play computer games, use apps, browse the web, and more. Learning to code allows someone endless opportunities, including creating their own games and even their own websites!

This month, the South Houston Branch Library will have two fun coding sessions where kids and teens can learn about coding and begin to code using games on the computer. Coding for Kids will take place on Saturday, October 14 @ 2:00-3:00pm and is for ages 8-12; Coding for Teens will take place on Saturday, October 28 @ 2:00-3:00pm and is for ages 13-17. Registration is required, please call the branch at 832-927-5530 to register.
