Construction Continues!

Here is our monthly aerial photo courtesy of KBL and SpawGlass, the construction company for the new library. The recent rain greened up the retention pond, which is the most notable change. Since the building is now roofed in, interior changes can’t be easily seen by air. Currently, the exterior is being “clad” – a construction term for the brick and stone being applied to the exterior. These are exciting times!

In my September 8 blog, I talked about the study rooms we’ll have in the new building. In the photo below, those rooms are shown with the drywall applied. That purple looks pretty good! It’s also nice to know the drywall is mold and mildew resistant. In our climate that can only be good, even if it is purple!
