Crosby Book Club meets Friday, November 17 @ 2 pm

Crosby Book Club will meet Friday, November 17 at 2 pm to discuss Willa Cather's Death Comes for the Archbishop.  Described as "a sparcely beautiful novel",  Death Comes is a narrative about two missionaries living in the American Southwest of the 19th century.  Their travels and encounters with Mexican Americans, Spanish settlers, and Native Americans give the reader a unique portrait of life and faith, while Cather's exquisitely detailed descriptions of the region paint an unsurpassed vision of the stark and scenic landscape.

New members are welcome.  Copies of the book are available for check out at the front desk.
