End of Summer Celebrations! Free Family Fun for All Ages.
Get Ready To Celebrate! As part of the end of summer celebrations we have scheduled two extremely fun special programs for families. Tickets are not required for these events and they are open to people of all ages. So, we expect to see all of our friends there. A great time will be had by all, but please be aware that the library will be noisier than normal.
The children in our community have worked really hard to accomplish their reading goals this summer. So, we want to ensure that everyone may attend our celebration activities. In order to do this, we will be presenting the programs in the Children's Area. We would like to thank everyone in advance for their support and understanding.
Monday, August 5th @ 3:30 pm
Abracadabra, it's Magic! Steve Burton's magic program includes lots of audience participation along with live animals, comedy, music and special treats for all his helpers.
Tuesday, August 6th @ 3:30 pm
Take Note: You do not want to miss the African Drum Program!!!! The experience is amazing.
In all cultures throughout the world; drumming is used to bring people together and to celebrate. This year the theme of the Summer Reading Program is "Have Books Will Travel." So, it seemed fitting that our last special program for families, would take you on an adventure to the distant land of a West African village. Come experience the culture, the sounds and the rhythm of our West African celebration! This is a program that you do not want to miss!
