Family Friendly Audiobooks
I can’t tell you how many times in the past couple of weeks I’ve had a parent come talk to me and say, “We’re going on a long car trip and need a good audiobook for the whole family” or “I need to find something that will appeal to my teens, but we can listen to with their grandmother.” Long car rides with the family are a great way of connecting with stories and with one another. Below I’ve listed a few audiobooks that I think would be good fare for a family car trip. What do you recommend?

Great list! Exactly what I
Great list! Exactly what I was looking for. I will add that any book by Avi has entertained our family. The Charlie Bone series was a huge hit. Nancy Drew/Hardy Boy books are always an option. Harry Potter series if you haven't already read it. We are also listening to Little Princes by Conor Grennan which is a nonfiction book about an orphanage in Nepal. Family friendly except for a few curse words throughout. Emphasis on few. My youngest is 8 and enjoys it. Ella Enchanted was entertaining. My eldest daughter enjoys the Penderwick books. I'm forgetting many. Can't wait to work our way through your list. Makes driving to all of the kids' activities less painful :)Thanks so much, Jen! I'm
