A Film Feast
With Thanksgiving a day away and the Christmas holidays just around the corner, my thoughts have, quite naturally, turned in one direction: food. This season, more than any other time of the year, seems to revolve heavily around food. Families gather to eat sumptuous meals, the good china is dusted off, kitchens are noisy with chatter and the clanging of pots and pans, and overeating is practically a requirement.
Although there aren’t many movies specifically about Thanksgiving, filmmakers, particularly those working outside Hollywood, have realized the importance food plays in relationships and incorporated it into films. If the Thanksgiving feast just isn’t enough this season, browse the HCPL catalog and request a food movie today!
