Fire Truck comes to Freeman Library on Friday, September 30

October is Fire Prevention Month.  To educate children on fire prevention, firefighters from the Houston Fire Department will visit Freeman on Friday, September 30 for a storytime and fire truck visit.  Captain Faulkner of Houston Fire Department Station No. 72 will read a story to toddlers and preschool age children at 10:15 am.  Then the children and adults will go outside to meet the firefighters and see the fire truck up close.  Tickets are required for the storytime.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk when the library opens at 10:00 am on Friday.

Please don't miss a colorful display of toy fire engines, firefighting equipment, and pictures of local fires that the firefighters from Station No. 72 have loaned the Children's Department for this visit.  These interesting items are on display now along with a collection of fire themed books that can be checked out.
