Friends Annual Meeting Update/ and coming up El día de los niños/El día de los libros

Last night, April 24, 2018, was a huge night for Evelyn Meador Library. First we had a ribbon-cutting to celebrate our new membership into the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce. Then, the Friends of Evelyn Meador Library Annual Meeting with special guests from the Seabrook City Council. In total we had 134 residents and other concerned citizens join us to hear about the HWY 146 Expansion and other City Projects from Mayor Thom Kolupski and City Manager Gayle Cook.

We also have a huge program coming up next week on Monday April 30th at 10:30 am. A Fiesta celebrating children and books, aka El día de los niños/El día de los libros. Ms. Nancy has worked hard to make this event a success and now all we need is for you to bring your little one to the library to hear a Bilingual Story, dance to a Mariachi Band, taste Latin American Treats, and learn how to make their own Maracas.

We can’t wait to see you at one of the many programs here at Evelyn Meador Library. Check us out on Facebook, Instagram or visit our website to stay in the loop.
