GED class begins soon

Does lack of a high school diploma prevent you, or someone you know, from moving forward in your work? If so, there is an opportunity to overcome that hurdle.  College of the Mainland, which sponsors a free preparation class for the General Educational Development test at the library, will host registration on April 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Afterwards, the GED class will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All that is necessary for adults to register is a picture ID with date of birth. For 17 year olds, school withdrawal papers and parent permission is also necessary. For more information, please call the College of the Mainland adult education office at 409-933-8294 or 1-888-258-8859, extension 8294.
