Gone to the Movies Lately?

1001 Movies You Must See Before You DieIf you have, then you know you can spend a small fortune for a couple of hours of fun, especially if you include popcorn and a soft drink. So if you come to the library to check out books and movies, why not plan your visit during one of our monthly movie screenings?  Enjoy a movie with popcorn, pick up your holds, and browse the shelves for even more materials to check out all in the same trip.

Coming up next month will be the Classic Cinema Club on Wednesday, November 11, at 2 PM, and in celebration of Veterans Day we’ve selected an Academy Award winning film from 1946 about our World War II veterans’ return to civilian life. This movie will have special appeal to seniors, but all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Then on Saturday, November 21, at 2 PM, Tall Tale Cinema will feature a family movie about an American folk hero who made the Great Lakes. This is for an inter-generational audience, so bring the entire family.

It’s a great deal –- free movie, free popcorn, no ticket lines.....  See you at the movies!
