Halloween @ Your Library

This Saturday, October 29th, All Hallows’ Eve eve eve, Northwest Library – its staff in full costume – will be hosting a full day’s worth of Halloween activities.

Starting at 11am, the Sounds of Cypress Concert Winds will be performing a spooktacular concert live on the library’s front lawn.  Come out early and listen to these talented performers while enjoying the cool, crisp Autumnal weather.

Then at noon in our meeting room, Mick Corley will present a teen-oriented program called Tales from Beyond.  On the lineup here are shrunken heads, voodoo, mummies, and many more shockingly strange oddities.

Finally, at 2pm in the meeting room, we’ll host a series of Halloween Monster Mash games, crafts, and trick or treating for all ages.  Games will include Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin, Swamp Fishing, Graveyard Golf, Spider Ring Toss, a Monster Photo Area, and Trick or Treat Toss.  Come in costume and join us for a fun-filled Saturday at your library.

But the Halloween fun doesn’t stop there!  On Monday, All Hallows’ Eve itself, at 4pm in the meeting room, we will be showing a special Halloween movie (rated PG-13 or lower) for our Monday Movie.  For information on which movie we’ll be showing, give us a call at 281-890-BOOK, or ask us at the front desk.  In fact, we have a variety of Monday Movies lined up through the year’s end.  Want to know more?  Just ask.

Happy Halloween, everyone.
