June 1st marks the 72nd anniversary of Superman's debut! For over 70 years, the "Man of Steel" has entertained America and is considered a superhero pioneer.
Superman first appeared in Action Comics in 1938 by creators Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel. The series immediately became popular and was adapted for radio, TV, and later as a motion picture film.
