HARRIET COLE WINS BRANCH PRIZE FOR SUMMER READING

Michele KubasHarriet Cole has won the Barbara Bush Branch prize in the 2010 Harris County Public Library Adult Summer Reading Program. Harriet was awarded an Amazon $50 Gift Card! She was chosen by a random computer generated drawing of all adult customers at the Barbara Bush Branch who registered and completed the reading of four books during the summer. Michele Cole Kubas, Ms. Cole’s daughter, (pictured with Annette Main, Asst. Branch Librarian for Adult Services) accepted the gift card for her mother who is currently out of state.

In the year and a half that Ms. Cole has been coming to this particular branch library she has enjoyed the monthly Afternoon Book Club, the monthly Evening Book Club, as well as the weekly Friday afternoon knitting and crocheting program called the Knowledge Exchange.
A lifelong avid reader, Harriet has instilled that same love of reading in her daughter Michele, as well as her three grandchildren who live here in Spring.
