How to Host a Summer Reading Program Without a Building!

As of May 5th

It’s almost time for the 2010 Texas Summer Reading Program to begin!  “But,” you may be saying, “the new library won’t be open by summer.  How can there be summer programming in Seabrook?”  Well, I’m glad you asked.  This summer, there will be special programs at the Seabrook Community House, like the library’s annual birthday party and a petting zoo.  In addition, Ms. Pearson will be hosting a storytime on Mondays at Bay Elementary, on Wednesdays at the community house, and on Thursdays at Ed White Elementary.  There will also be some activities for teens at Seabrook Intermediate.  You can sign up for the summer reading program at one of the schools or at the Freeman or La Porte branches of the library.  Be sure to check the online events calendar for more details.
