Attention all witches, wizards, and Muggles!  Have you heard about the Orlando theme park based on J. K. Rowling's best-selling books?  Progress on the 20 acre site has been a well kept secret, but recently Universal Studios launched a web site dedicated to promoting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The park, which is expected to open Spring 2010, will include a re-creation of Hogwarts School and Hogsmeade Village, complete with restaurants, shops, and amusements.  Imagine being chosen by a magic wand at Ollivander's Wand Shop, riding a Flying Hippogriff, and enjoying a refreshing butterbeer (or chocolate covered frog!) afterwards.  Artisans from Universal Creative, in collaboration with Potter film production designer Stuart Craig and Art Director Alan Gilmore, have been making every effort to insure that guests will experience the most authentic Harry Potter environment possible.

Will the "real" Wizarding World be able to compete with a loyal Potter fan's imagination?  We shall see.  "The industry scuttlebutt is that it will be fabulous," said Bob Rogers, of BRC Imagination Arts, a California based attractions design company. "I see the gleam in the eyes of the people who are working on it."
