It's Tax Time again.
It is that time of year again when Uncle Sam requests our undivided attention and we must file our tax returns. Have you heard about the free, painless, way of doing that this year? Come to the Baldwin Boettcher Library, starting Feb 2nd and the AARP volunteers will be here to process your information. What do you need to bring with you? First gather all your 2010 tax papers and information, W2's, 1099's, interest forms, house information, medical payments, things that are deductible from your tax base. Then find and dust off that 2009 tax return. Bring it with you. Finally get all your social security cards that you will be claiming on your tax return. Come in Mondays (1 pm til 6 pm), Wednesdays (10 am til 5 pm), Fridays (1 pm til 5 pm) and Saturdays (12 noon til 4 pm). Remember this starts Wednesday, Feb 2nd. This is a free service. It is a first come, first serve basis. They will be processing 6 forms at a time so maybe the wait will not be long but even if you have to wait, it is free and you have their undivided attention when it is your turn. So take the easy, painless way to give your information to the IRS by using the AARP tax aide at the Baldwin Boettcher Library.
