Join us at the Library in July!

During the month of July, the Evelyn Meador Branch Library will be continuing our Summer Reading Program with great events and awesome prizes! If you haven’t signed up for Summer Reading yet, you still have time! You can sign up on our website until August 3 to get rewards for your reading. And remember, even if you aren’t signed up, or even a library member, you can still participate in our events. Here are some of the great things we have coming up this month:

Star Gazing Party: All ages are welcome to come to the library at 9:00 PM on July 9 to view the sky through telescopes with the expert help of the Johnson Space Center Astronomical Society in this unique after-hours event!

Mad Science: All kids are welcome to this program on July 18 at 3:30 PM, which will feature science experiments and demonstrations that look like magic until the science behind them is explained.

Christmas in July: Jewelry Box: Teens and Adults are invited to register for this program which takes place on July 26 at1:30 PM.  You will learn how to use Pinterest and discover an easy way to turn a tin into a beautiful jewelry box. All materials included.

Harry Potter Birthday Celebration: All ages should come to celebrate Harry Potter’s Birthday on July 31 at 2:00 PM. We’ll have fun activities and crafts like Sphero Quidditch, and magical refreshments and prizes as well!
