June Summer Programs

Wednesdays at 2:30 PM the Parker Williams Branch Library will be hosting a variety of different programs in our Library Community Room throughout the nine week Summer Reading Program.

 

 

 

 

June 7 – Tin Foil Towers [7+]

We’ll be grabbing this year’s Summer Reading Program by the STEM with a little lesson in architecture. Learn the fundamentals of building towers and skyscrapers as we build our own tin foil towers. Participants will be put into teams and compete for the most sturdy and the tallest tower. Join us in the Library Community Room at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, June 7th.

June 14 – Geebo the Clown [5+]
Our second program of the summer is going to be filled with magic and humor as the Parker Williams Branch presents the Magic Castle alumni Geebo the Clown. Join us in the Library Community Room at 2:30 PM on June 14th for the magic and fun.    

June 21 – Thomas Davis’ Snakeman Show [5+]
Join us on June 21st for the Thomas Davis’ Snakeman Show. Learn more about snakes and get an opportunity to touch them as well in the Library Community Room at 2:30 PM.

June 28 – Airplane Extravaganza with Civil Air Patrol [7+]
Civil Air Patrol is the Official Auxiliary of the US Air Force. As ambassadors of aerospace, they will be visiting the Parker Williams Library on June 28th at 2:30 PM to teach the different aspects of flight through a variety of different types of paper airplanes. Join the cadets and officers in the Library Community Room for folding, flying, and fun.
