March Events in the Children's Department

Looking for family fun this month?  Check out some of these children's programs we have during Spring Break and beyond.

For Spring Break (also known as Books Alive! Week) we'll have the regular baby, toddler, and preschool storytimes. Marsha's Petting Zoo on Monday 3/11 at 2:30 pm; Crafta-palooza on Tuesday 3/12 at 2:00 pm; Face Painting,Balloons, and a Dino-mite costumed visitor on Wednesday 3/13 at 2:30 pm; a Block Party on Thursday, 3/14 at 2:00 pm where we'll have lots of items to build with; and Sidewalk Chalk on Friday, 3/15 at 10:30 am.  No tickets will be needed for any of these events.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman LIbrary for supporting these programs.

On Friday, March 22 at 10:15 am,firefighters from the Houston Fire Department will be here to show their fire engines and tae pictures with children.  No tickets are needed for this program.

Babies from infancy to 18 months old will enjoy hanging out at Baby Playtime on Friday, March 8 from 10:00-11:00 am, while toddlers 18 months old to 3 years old get to let off some steam during Toddlers in Motion on Friday, March 29 at 10:15 am.  Tickets will be given out when we open at 10:00 am.

Additionally, we'll have an evening storytime (Pajama Storytime) on Thursdays, March 7 & 21 at 6:00 pm.  Children are encouraged to wear pajamas or bring a stuffed animal.  Tickets given out at 5:30 pm.  Also, we have Family Storytime on Saturdays March 2 and March 16 at 11:00 am.  No tickets are needed for this program.
