The Merciless

Four girls in the basement of an abandoned house, another bound and gagged on the dirty concrete floor. It’s okay, though. She’s going to be just fine, the other girls are here to help her. They’re here to perform the exorcism she so desperately needs. They’ve got all the tools they require: bell, book, candle… knife.

The Merciless is Danielle Vega’s debut novel, and she doesn’t hold back any punches. Her writing style avoids flowery metaphors, and favors instead a short, blunt language so ideal for setting up tension that you’ll be dizzy from holding your breath.
