Mysteries for Tweens
Several times each week I meet with parents and tweens who feel like they have exhausted the children’s section and are ready to move on to the teen section, but maybe are not quite ready for everything in the teen section. Starting <checking watch> right this minute, I will be featuring something new on the Children’s and Teen blogs: Tween Reads! This week the focus will be on mysteries (mostly because I am a mystery junkie), but keep your eyes peeled for other genres as the weeks go by. This list isn’t meant to be exhaustive, but to give tweens and parents some initial guidance as they make their way over to the young adult shelves. And some of these are titles that are new to the Children’s shelves or might have flown under the radar. What are your favorite tween mysteries?
