Not Your Average Museums
Are you 50+? If so, join your neighbors when they visit the National Museum of Funeral History and the 1940 Air Terminal Museum on Wednesday, August 27. The National Museum of Funeral History includes an exhibit Celebrating the Lives and Deaths of the Popes (including a genuine Popemobile!), in addition to the country's largest collection of funeral service artifacts and information about ancient and modern mourning rituals. The 1940 Air Terminal Museum is housed in the original art-deco Houston Municipal Airport building at Hobby Airport. It showcases Houston's fascinating aviation history.
