Once Upon a Time: Telling Stories Through Clay

In conjunction with the Museum of Fine Arts Houston exhibit, the library has prepared 3 displays for the month of March. In the front window, the display is “Once Upon a Time: Family Stories in Clay”. Staff members have contributed ceramic and clay pieces from their own collections. On the round wall, books based on the theme “Once Upon a Time: Building Stories in Clay” can be seen. These books are on building your own clay pieces, sculptures, and jewelry.  Pamphlets about the Museum of Fine Arts Houston are available here as well.  At the back door, you will find "Once upon a Time: Craft A Story in Clay" . You can craft your own clay story using clay provided by the library. You may make your clay pieces in the library and leave it on display or take it with you. Everyone is encouraged to be a part of this activity. You don’t have to be an artist or a storyteller, just have fun and let the clay tell your story. Come for the experience and let us know what you think about our displays.
