Out of This World Television

adorable robot guyOne of my favorite television genres is science fiction. It’s a genre that is underappreciated by the masses, but the people who love it are often fanatical enough to make up the difference. It’s unfortunate that so many people dismiss the entire genre without even giving it a chance (it’s not all Star Trek, you know) because science fiction has so much to offer.

I find it fascinating that science fiction shows can portray real life situations in the most imaginative and creative ways. Whether the show takes place on a spaceship, a distant planet or on Earth, or whether it deals with humans with advanced technology or an entirely new alien race, it is almost always relatable. The characters face danger, feel sorrow or joy, make hard decisions, find humor in life, and fall in love. The circumstances may be different, but the basic human emotions are always there.

Like you, I like science

Like you, I like science fiction series, especially Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who. And I have a special place in my heart for Alien Nation and Roswell.

My favorite science fiction

My favorite science fiction series is Stargate Atlantis (the first four seasons), but I honestly think Battlestar Galactica is the best one that's been on television in a long time.

Thanks for reading!
