How do you sign up to be one

How do you sign up to be one of the stops.

Good question! It's a little

Good question! It's a little complicated, but the short answer is that in most cases pokestops and gyms didn't sign up for anything. They are actually holdovers/borrowings from an earlier game called Ingress that Niantic (the developer of Pokemon Go) created a couple years ago. Here is a fuller explanation: http://winsupersite.com/games/why-your-location-pokestop-or-gym

That being said, there is a way to sign up to create a stop or gym, learn about it here: http://winsupersite.com/games/why-your-location-pokestop-or-gym

Thanks for asking!

Freeman Branch in Clear Lake

Freeman Branch in Clear Lake has 9 Stops around its Gym. If you are just getting supplies, it can take you as little as 15-20 minutes to cover the loop. That's a nice walk.
