Rain, Rain, Go Away! (And I Mean It!)

You should come to the library this week. Now, I know what you’re thinking. Despite all the rain, it really is worth it to come to the library. Yes, it’s wet and terrible, but it’s been raining for at least two weeks solid. The time for excuses has to end, even if it is hard to admit it.

To help you out, we have a lot of fun activities coming up at the library, which will give you the time to enjoy yourself in a free, indoor environment. That’s right. You get to be inside, you don’t have to pay anything, and our events are a guaranteed blast. Here’s some of them:

• Harry Potter Book Club: This Thursday, September 13, at 4:15, we are having a meeting of our Harry Potter Book Club. This is your chance to come and talk about all you love about Harry Potter, as well as making your own, personalized Harry Potter shirt. All ages are welcome, so make sure you come to this fantastic event.

• Spanish Classes: This week is the beginning of our new Spanish Classes. With amazing teachers, and courses for different ages and skill levels, you’ll want to make sure you come to these to improve your second language skills. Come into the library anytime to fill out a registration form and learn more about these awesome courses.

• Decorate Sugar Skulls for Dios De Los Muertos: On September 20 at 4:30 PM, come to the library to make your very own sugar skull in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Supplies will be limited, so make sure you come early so you don’t miss out on this fun and informative activity.

If these events don’t appeal to you (though I don’t know how they couldn’t) we have plenty of other programs going on. Make sure you check our online calendar for information on our technology classes, our story times, and our other events. So check the site, pull out your umbrella, and stop letting the rain ruin your fun. You deserve it.
