R.I.P. Bill Wallace

Author Bill Wallace passed away Jan. 30 at his home in Chickasha, OK after a year and half long battle with cancer. He was the author of over 30 books. He won 22 state children's choice awards, including the Texas Bluebonnet Award twice--for A Dog Called Kitty and Snot Stew. Bill started writing when he was a fourth grade teacher. He wrote stories to calm down his classes after recess and they encouraged him to get them made into "real" books. A Dog Called Kitty was his first book.
